BPV23NFL Overview

To protect them from damage, these photodiodes are packaged in the Bulk. It is necessary to enclose the photodiodes in Radial packages for safety purposes. As long as the photodiodes are operated continuously in reverse-bias mode, the maximum voltage they can tolerate is 60V. A continuous reverse-bias voltage of 60V should be maintained for the photodiodes. The photodiodes have 2 pins. There was the possibility that photodiodes in a circuit would emit 215mW heat. During operation, photodiodes should not have a temperature higher than 100°C. However, the minimum operating temperature of the photodiodes should be set to -40°C. For the photodiodes, the reverse anode voltage should be 60V. In order to get current to flow across a photodiode, there must be a voltage of 1.3V. Photodiodes in reverse-bias mode could supply voltages of 60V. Without light, a photodiode has 2nA current.
