Varistor Definition

A varistor is an electronic component that is used to provide protection against transient voltage spikes in electrical circuits. It is a type of voltage-dependent resistor, meaning its resistance changes with the applied voltage. Varistors are designed to have a high resistance at normal operating voltages, but when a voltage spike occurs, the resistance quickly drops, allowing excess current to flow through it and protecting the connected circuitry. Varistors are commonly used in a wide range of applications, including power supplies, motor controls, telecommunications equipment, and automotive electronics. They provide an essential layer of protection against voltage surges that can damage sensitive components or cause malfunctions. The varistors we offer are of high quality and reliability, ensuring long-lasting and effective protection for your electrical circuits. With different voltage ratings and sizes available, you can find the varistor that meets your specific requirements. Our varistors are also easy to install, making them a convenient and cost-effective solution for your voltage spike protection needs.
